Juliet Were is the Program Manager at Isis-WICCE since 2016. She is responsible for strategic program planning, design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation in line with the Programme Quality Procedures. Prior to this new position she worked as the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at Isis-WICCE. She has led the conceptualization and coordinated studies and programmes in Africa (Uganda, South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Sierra Leonne, Burundi) and Asia (Nepal and Kashmir) on Governance, Peace and Security; Women’s Health and related development issues. She has a Masters in Development Studies and in Public Health Leadership. She has co-authored a number of publications including Women’s Experiences During the Armed Conflict in Southern Sudan, 1983 – 2005 (2006); Unveiling Justice: Rape survivors Speak out; A report on access to Justice for Rape survivors in Nepal (2011).
